Chandrababu Naidu Visits Recovering Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan Following Surgery at Residence
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan at his residence following his April 18 sinus surgery at Apollo Hospital. The visit highlighted his recovery progress, doctors’ 7–10 day rest advice, and the TDP–Jana Sena alliance. It also followed welfare measures announced on May 1, including increased MGNREGS compensation and renaming of labour categories.
According to medical advice, Pawan Kalyan has been recommended a rest period of seven to ten days to ensure complete recovery. During the visit, Naidu and Pawan Kalyan engaged in an indoor conversation focused on the Deputy Chief Minister’s health condition and recovery progress.
The visit also underscored the ongoing political coordination between the Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena Party alliance in the Andhra Pradesh government, reflecting continued administrative alignment at the leadership level.
The development comes in the wake of Pawan Kalyan’s welfare announcements made on May 1, which included an increase in compensation for workers under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and the renaming of “coolies” as “workers” to emphasize dignity in labour. These announcements received public attention and were appreciated by notable figures, including actor Nani and badminton player P. V. Sindhu.
The interaction between the two senior leaders highlights both a personal concern for health recovery and the broader political cohesion within the state’s ruling alliance, reinforcing stability and coordination in governance.
